Once you’ve installed the app, you’ll be directed straight to the Setup Wizard—your quick-start gateway to customizing Chatalyst.
- Enter your store name, shop nature (e.g., fashion, electronics), and number of staff. This helps Chatalyst understand your business and craft smarter, more relevant AI responses.
- Pick your chatbot color and app icon color to blend perfectly with your store’s theme—make it pop!

- Click Complete Setup to save everything.
- Pro Tip: You can tweak these colors anytime in the app settings if your branding evolves.
This simple setup gets Chatalyst integrated into your storefront, ready to learn about your shop and start engaging customers right away. If the icon doesn’t show up, head to your Shopify theme editor and activate the app block—it’s a one-time thing!

- Choose the primary objective for Chatalyst (e.g., customer support, sales assistance, or lead generation). This tweaks the AI’s brain, so it focuses on what matters most—like suggesting products to close deals if sales is your goal.
- Select a response style from our 3 tones (friendly, professional, or casual) to match your store’s vibe—think bubbly for a fun boutique or polished for luxury goods.
- Hit Save Configuration to lock it in.

- For custom FAQs that aren’t on your website:
- Go to the FAQ tab.
- Click Add New FAQ, fill in the question and answer, and save. Now Chatalyst can handle those repeat queries like a pro.

- Click into a conversation to view key details: customer’s email (if shared), location, shopping cart items, and even their latest actions in your store (like viewed products).
- Need to jump in?
- Click Takeover Chat to go human-mode—you reply directly, and Chatalyst steps back.
- Done? Click Handover to AI to pass it back seamlessly.
- Mark progress with the right-hand dropdown: Choose New, In Progress, Deal Closed, or Dropped to stay organized.
The Inbox makes teamwork between you and Chatalyst a breeze, ensuring no query slips through the cracks.
